What future apprentices ask us most.
Do I need plumbing experience to apply?
No. The apprenticeship is built to train you from the ground up. We are looking for the right attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn, not prior plumbing experience.
Do I get paid during the apprenticeship?
Yes. This is paid, on-the-job training, you earn while you learn and build toward your license without taking on student debt.
How long is the program?
The apprenticeship runs about four years, during which you complete the roughly 7,500 hours of supervised on-the-job training required to sit for your State Journey test.
Will I be able to get licensed?
Yes, that is the goal. We provide supervised training under a master plumber and the guidance you need to complete your hours and pass your State Journey test on the path to becoming a licensed, and eventually master, plumber.
Do I need to be 18?
Applicants generally need to be 18 or older. The application will confirm eligibility, and the work does involve lifting and being on your feet for a full shift.
