Plumbing built for how Potomac actually lives

Potomac is one of the most sought-after communities in the region, a landscape of large estate and custom homes on wooded lots, from Potomac Village and Avenel to the grand properties strung along River Road toward Great Falls and the C&O Canal. These are not cookie-cutter houses, and their plumbing is rarely simple: multiple bathrooms, multiple water heaters, high-end and imported fixtures, whole-house water treatment, pools, and irrigation.

Much of Potomac is on WSSC public water and sewer, but pockets like Glen Hills and many larger estate parcels still run on private wells and septic, so we handle both with equal care. Add in mature landscaping, long service lines, and decades-old sewer laterals under big trees, and Potomac homes need a plumber with the experience to protect your finishes and get it right. That is exactly the work we do.

What we see here

Common plumbing needs in Potomac homes

Bigger, custom homes come with bigger, more complex plumbing.

1

Large homes, multiple systems

Estate homes often have several bathrooms, more than one water heater, and complex layouts that need a plumber who can map the whole system.

2

Luxury & imported fixtures

High-end and specialty fixtures require the right parts and a careful hand, so a repair does not become a costly replacement.

3

Well & septic pockets

Glen Hills and many estate parcels are on private wells and septic, calling for pump, pressure-tank, and filtration expertise.

4

Mature trees & long sewer lines

Big lots mean long service lines and old sewer laterals under mature trees, a common source of root intrusion and backups.

Absolute best plumbers I have ever used. Needed them a few times recently and each time they were so professional, kind and resolved each problem the first time around. This last issue took them several hours to fix. They explained everything along the way and gave a very fair price for a lot of work. They also work very cleanly! I will never use another plumber!

I needed a water valve installed for my new fridge and a new faucet installed in upstairs bathroom. Seth was amazing. He came out and really listened to me and my concerns. We even called the company that was going to deliver my new fridge so he would have a better understanding of what he needed to do his job. It made me feel at ease with the whole process. He is even coming back later in the week to install new fridge once it’s delivered. I will absolutely call them again.

We had a pinhole leak suddenly appear in our outdoor hose bib, and Clarksburg Plumbing was able to provide next-day service, which we really appreciated. Our technician, John Brown, arrived right on time after giving us a 30-minute courtesy call. John quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, and provided an accurate assessment of what needed to be done. He completed the repair in under two hours, and the quality of his work was excellent. Before leaving, he even took the time to share some helpful tips on how to prevent similar issues in the future. John was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better service experience. I highly recommend Clarksburg Plumbing and especially John Brown for anyone needing reliable, high-quality plumbing work.

Cris and Franklin from Clarksburg Plumbing did incredible work at our home fixing an underground water service leak. They encountered complications but went to plan B efficiently and skillfully and got the job done well and in a timely manner. They also answered all our questions patiently and taught us a lot of why they made the decisions they made. We are very pleased with their work and plan to recommend them and all of Clarksburg Plumbing to our friends and neighbors.

We had a clog in our septic line. The Clarksburg Plumbing crew located the troublesome area using a camera and then removed the clog and tested the line. They then remounted the toilet with a new wax ring and cleaned the area. Overall, a great experience!

He kept me in the loop the entire way as to what he was doing. He diagnosed two leaks within our toilet system and readily fixed them. Potomac plumbing FAQ

What Potomac homeowners ask us most.

Yes, all of it. We serve Potomac from our home base up in Clarksburg, covering Potomac Village, Avenel, Glen Hills, Bradley Farms, the River Road estate corridor, and North Potomac, and we are available 24/7 for emergencies.

Very much so. Estate and custom homes often have multiple bathrooms, more than one water heater, and complex layouts, and we have the experience to map the whole system and service it properly rather than guessing.

Yes. We take care to source the right parts for luxury and specialty fixtures and repair them correctly, so a fixable problem does not turn into an expensive replacement, and we protect your finishes while we work.

Not at all. Pockets of Potomac such as Glen Hills, and many larger estate parcels, are on private wells and septic. We service well pumps, pressure tanks, filtration, and the plumbing side of septic systems.

Damascus sits at the highest elevation in the county, so winters are colder and pipes on rural properties freeze more easily. We thaw and repair frozen and burst pipes and can help you protect vulnerable lines before the next cold snap.

On Potomac’s big, wooded lots it is very often tree roots invading long, decades-old sewer laterals. We run a camera to pinpoint the problem, then clear the roots and recommend a repair or trenchless replacement if needed.

Everything: water heaters and tankless, bathroom and high-end fixture work, whole-home water filtration, well pumps and septic-side service, drain cleaning, sewer and water line repair and replacement, gas lines, and 24/7 emergency service.
